How to Get the Most Out of Your Wicks

Wicks are key to getting a long, beautiful burn from your Sunday Culture sand wax candle. If you use them correctly, you should get 6-8 hours of burn time from each 5cm wick. Here’s how to make sure you’re getting the most out of every wick!

1. Position Your Wick Correctly

When placing your wick in the sand wax, make sure to leave 1cm of wick exposed above the surface. This is the perfect amount to light your candle efficiently.

• If you leave too much wick exposed, it will burn down quickly, wasting your wick.
• If too little is exposed, it may be harder to light or may not burn properly.

2. Adjust for Shallow Vessels

If your vessel is shallow, you can cut the wick to fit. However, keep in mind that cutting the wick reduces its burn time. A shorter wick means less wick to burn, so your candle won’t last as long.

3. Reuse and Replace

Once a wick has burned out, simply remove it and place a new one in your sand wax. Since sand wax is reusable, you can keep enjoying your candle without wasting wax!
